PETA bosses praise Britney for ‘no animal show’ on upcoming tour
Washington: PETA bosses are all praises for Britney Spears because of her decision of not featuring animals in her upcoming `Circus' tour.
The animal rights group blasted the pop star in December (08) after she used elephants in the music video for her single Circus.
In fact, a spokesperson for the group said the star should be able to relate to caged animals'' plight as she is a "victim of the paparazzi and always crying about how she hates to be held up in her guarded house."
However, now it looks like Britney is back in PETA's good books, as she excluded all live creatures from her forthcoming trek.
"PETA praises Britney for embracing modern animal-free circuses like Cirque du Soleil, which spotlight human creativity and talents instead of forcing chained and beaten exotic animals to perform confusing and uncomfortable tricks... Now Britney won''t risk winding up in court on cruelty charges," Contactmusic quoted President Ingrid Newkirk as telling RadarOnline
