The Bollywood siren Mallika Sherawat used to keep her-self in the focus of attention right from the day she came in the glitter world by her iconic statements.
Another feather has filled to capacity her cap by conferring this Bollywood star with an Honorary Citizenship and Official Resolution by the City of Los Angeles.
At Los Angeles City Hall in an event of 15th August Indian Independence Day.Mallika Sherawat received this prestigious honour in front of the members of entertainment industry, friends, family and fans during a ceremony.
In the City Hall Council Chambers, the council member Jose Huizar presented this honour to Mallika Sherawat. Mallika received the Resolution, which was signed by the Mayor and all City Council members, before giving an inspiring speech with the huge round of applause throughout the hall.
During the speech of thanksgiving and acceptance, the actress became emotional and said that she is deeply, and humbly, grateful for this grand honour, in addition to thanking the council member Huizar, Mayor Villaragosa, Mayor Riordan, and all the City Council.
Mallika Sherawat also explained “As the first Indian Bollywood actor to receive this recognition, I proudly accept it in honour of my home country, mother India, and my beloved Bollywood, the world’s largest film industry.”
She completed the speech saying that she is moved from inside and forever thankful for this acknowledgment.
