Rupert-Emma Watson kiss was 'strange'

Harry Potter star Rupert Grint has said that it was a "strange" experience to kiss Emma Watson in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

"We've known each other for 10 years so it was a bit like kissing my sister," The Telegraph quoted him as telling the Mail.

"We were determined to get it right the first time, but our first try was a disaster because we both felt so self-conscious and we couldn't stop laughing," he added.

However, the actor is not too keen on dating anyone off screen.

He said: "I've never been seriously involved with anyone. I've certainly never been in love. I've always preferred to keep things casual.

"It's not that I find it hard to meet girls – they do come up and chat me up from time to time. Sometimes I'm interested, I tend not to go for the prettier ones. I prefer the quirkier types."

Grint, who plays Ron Weasley in the wizard series also mentioned that he is insecure as far as his acting career is concerned, he said: "It's always at the back of my mind that acting might come to an end for me when Harry Potter finishes. I don't know if I'm good enough to have a long career,

"I've got a bit of an inferiority complex about my acting. My self-esteem is quite low in that sense."

Megan Fox in awe of stunt doubles

Transformers’ star Megan Fox has revealed that she was left in awe of her and co-star Shia LaBeouf’s stunt doubles after they performed a daring feat, and escaped unhurt.

Fox, 23, admits that there were moments during the shooting of ‘ Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen’ that almost ended in tragedy when stunts went awry.

But what she remembers most was a scene in which the crew came close to losing two members of the team, after an explosion went wrong on the set of the movie sequel.

“Our stunt doubles almost died because there was a gas bomb and it blew up too early. But everyone survived,” the Daily Express quoted her as saying.

Bollywood Star Amrita Rao's sizzling turn

Bollywood has discovered a new sizzler in it’s midst.

It’s none other than Vivaah girl Amrita Rao, who’s ready to give all the leggy beauties in B-town a run for their money. Going by the promos that’ve been doing the rounds of her forthcoming film, the actress has finally ditched her girl-next-door image and unleashed the hottie in her. Talking about her hot new look, the sugar ‘n’ spice babe says, “As an actress, it’s good to surprise your fans once in a while.”

So, is it time to bid adieu to the ‘sweet’ Amrita? “Well, I still am the sweet me, but a dash of spice is always exciting,” she says. And going by the response the actress has garnered, seems like the fans are certainly not complaining about this hot flavour of the season!

I’d never snatch someone’s boyfriend: Anjana

She’s out to prove that she’s not just a pretty face but can act too.

After a promising start in Salaam-e-Ishq, Anjana Sukhani’s career didn’t take off as most people thought it would. So what exactly went wrong? “Well, to begin with, I didn’t have the proper guidance. I made decisions that did not work in my favour,” confesses Anjana.
Ask her if she’s bitter about the way her career met a roadblock, and she replies, “I’m not bitter at all. One needs to make mistakes in life to make better choices in future.”

Though she rues the way her career has shaped up, the audience did get to see Anjana in a couple of films, mostly multi-starrers, much like her debut film. But somehow they did not work in her favour. “I’ve got totally lost in the multi-starrers that I’ve done so far. I wasn’t able to stand out, unlike the way I did in Salaam-e-Ishq.”
So, why did she do them in the first place? “I did Golmaal Returns because I knew it was gonna be a hit. It’s also great to share screen space with actors like Ajay, Arshad, Shreyas, Tusshar and Kareena. Plus it’s always good to have a hit to your name!” quips the actor.

But Anjana is ready to leave all this behind her. Right now, she is geared up for the release of her first solo lead, Jashn. “Jashn is a very emotionally charged film. I must thank the Bhatts for giving it,” she says. Working for the first time as a solo heroine too was a unique experience for her. “So far I’ve just worked in multi-starrers, so I was not used to being in almost every scene in the film,” laughs the actor, her sense of humour in place.
But even before the promos could hit the screen, rumours of her being the cause of the break-up between Adhyayan and lady-love Kangna Ranaut hit headlines. “I would never snatch someone’s boyfriend. There are a lot of other men in the world,” she says. “Adhyayan and I were seen together often as we would go out promoting our film,” she sets the record straight once and for all.

Life now seems to be looking up for Anjana, who has quite a few films in her kitty. “I have a couple of films lined up. There is Tum Milo Toh Sahi with Nana Patekar and Dimple Kapadia. I just want to keep working. And I know that I won’t disappoint the critics and audiences,” she says before signing off.

Let's talk about sex, Shahid Kapur

Shahid Kapur has developed a social conscience as he has a song in Kaminey with a cautionary note about AIDS.

Without sounding preachy, the song filmed in the red light district promotes healthy and frequent use of the condom. The direct reference is timely in wake of the AIDS epidemic that continues to spread at an alarming rate in India.

The entire song sequence talks about the importance of using condoms, and playing it safe. Our source said, “Sukhwinder Singh lent his voice to this song and the lyrics go: Bhawra aaya aayaa re, gun gun karta aayaa re ... Yeh ishq nahih aasan, AIDS ka khatra hai ... pathwar pehen kar jaana- yeh aag ka dariya hai.

Shahid’s character in Kaminey is involved in social service. So he walks into a red light area with a red ribbon around his neck and that’s when he starts singing the song. The promos of the song will be aired in August.”

The lyrics of this song have been written by Vishal Bharadwaj, who is also the producer, director and music composer of the film.

I have never been to college: Katrina

Katrina Kaif was honest in admitting that she was highly bullied by her New York co-stars Neil Mukesh and John Abraham while shooting for the film.

We had to take her word especially after witnessing how John and Neil won’t leave a single stone unturned to crack jokes on her even while she spoke to us on her forthcoming film New York. Katrina Kaif got candid with Renuka Vyavahare on her film New York, John Abraham and last but not the least Salman Khan.

You play Maya in New York
Maya is an American of an Indian origin who goes to college in New York and loves her college life. She has two good friends and that pretty much sums up her life. I was very awkward on the first day of the shoot as it was not like shooting for ‘Singh is King’ or ‘Partner’ where you have dancers behind you. I felt very close to my character Maya, its an amazing journey and I want tot thank Adi and Kabir for trusting me and giving me an opportunity to prove my talent.

You have never looked this young in your previous films!
It’s really nice to play your age some times. Normally I am all dolled up and glamorous in all my films so it was good to be natural and be me for a change in New York. My co-stars too are young so that helped as all of us had something to prove and so gave our best shot. Interesting thing is because I started working very early in life, I have never been to college in my life so doing the film made me realize how it would have been like to go to a college.

Have your link-up rumours with John affected the rapport you both share with each other?
Everyone’s name has been thrown around in the press. John, Neil, its ridiculous and a bunch of silliness. It’s frustrating sometimes but nothing has changed between John and I post New York. We are comfortable with each other. If you pay attention to these things you are going to get bogged down and lose attention. You wont be able to enjoy anything.

What are your expectations from New York?
For me the film matters the most as I have thrown in a lot of hard work and passion into it. When I saw the film I myself was taken aback by it and I felt Kabir has made a film with Indian emotions, Indian sentiments but in an English story telling style, like how the American films are made and told. New York is not a social message film or an educational film, it’s a commercial film which the audiences will enjoy.

Has Salman seen the film?
No he hasn’t but will be nice if he sees it.

You think with New York you have finally arrived in Bollywood?
It’s too premature to say that. All depends on what the audiences think as their verdict is my test.

Akshay, Kareena kiss 10 times!

There are reports that the film Kambakkht Ishq has as many as ten lip locks between Kareena and Akshay. The pair will steam up the screen as they kiss repeatedly in the film.

Our source said, “While everyone is aware that there is a kissing scene between Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor, no one knows that they have lip locked as many as ten times. The news has been very hush hush as both the lead actors were of the opinion that it should not be leaked out. However, now that the film is releasing and there are many trial shows going on, people who have seen the film are aware of it. Many people in the trade are also surprised that both the stars agreed to so many. In fact, four among the 10 kisses feature before the pre-climax. The chemistry between Akshay and Kareena is excellent and they both have beautiful bodies and look extremely sexy onscreen”

The chemistry between the two will prove if the tonsil boxing translates into a hit. Sajid Nadiadwala, the producer of the film laughed and said, “Why do you want me to tell the whole world if there are so many kisses in the film? Let the audience watch the film and they will know about it.”

Google grand central

Earlier this year RWW reported that Google had made plans for the telephony service it acquired in July, 2007 called GrandCentral. GrandCentral was reborn as Google Voice, which includes all of GrandCentral's features and much more. Google Voice's free service will allow users to unify all of their phone numbers and transfer calls to all of their devices, convert voice calls to text messages, call multiple parties at once and make discounted international calls.

This week, John Fontana of Network World reported that Google has reserved 1 million phone numbers with communications and information services company Level 3. The company has not announced anything yet, but on the GrandCentral website it says "if you are a GrandCentral user, over the next few days you will be prompted to upgrade to Google Voice". These look like clear signs that it is getting ready to go live any time now, so check those emails and get ready to claim your number, they could go fast.

Google has continued to keep the old GrandCentral service, but has not allowed new users to sign up. Currently only GrandCentral users have access to Google Voice and new numbers are only available for American area codes. The GrandCentral users we spoke with love the service and are thrilled to try Google Voice. Our own Frederic Lardinois says it looks like a winner; "it takes the best features of GrandCentral and adds a number of important and interesting new features...clearly this is one of the most important products that Google has released in the last couple of months".

Judge for yourself. Below are three videos that show how easy it is to place calls, set up a conference call and how the phone calls are routed. There is some speculation about future integration with Android and we are certainly looking forward to that as well.
