As the world calls for an encore from Katrina Kaif, were hardly surprised. Katrina, who last year topped the polls as the sexiest woman alive , has done it again. According to insiders, she has again this year been voted the sexiest woman alive by a poll that FHM (India) conducted.
Katrina has rightly been the ruling queen of the covers of leading fashion and Bollywood magazines. Katrina though, about to board a flight from Singapore played it safe. I havent been informed about this. It was great to win the poll last year and would be lovely to win it again lets wait and watch what happens , she said excitedly.
Competing with Katrina in the race for the title were her Bollywood contemporaries Kareena Kapoor and Deepika Padukone.

Akshay Kumar, Twinkle Will be Arrested Shortly

MUMBAI: Akshay Kumar may have to pay a heavy price for his unbuttoning act at the Lakme fashion week. He along with his wife Twinkle and the organizers of LFW will be arrested shortly in response to the complained registered by social activist, Anil Nair.

According to Arvind Mahabdi, ACP, “We’ll make the arrests soon and then take their statements.”

The police is yet to send orders to the pair. The spokesperson of Akshay, Sanchita said, “We’ll respond when the police approach us.” However the couple is in the safe side as the offence is bailable and after three months of imprisonment, they may be released on bail.

On April 13, the faith of Akki and Twinkle will be decided. A case has been filed against them in the Meerut police station.

Aishwarya Rai Back on Bollywood Screens

MUMBAI: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was last seen in Hollywood film PINK PANTHER 2 which came to India but Ash wasn’t the lead actress in it. So how long will fans of her Bollywood films have to wait to see the beauty set the screen on fire again?

Ash had two releases in 2008: JODHAA AKBAR in February and SARKAR RAJ in June. Both the films did well at the box office and Ash’s performance was highly appreciated. Ash, who is currently in Delhi where she received India’s most prestigious Padmashri award will return to Mumbai after some days to resume shooting for Vipul Shah’s ACTION REPLAY.

But before that she was shooting with her hubby for Mani Ratnam’s RAAVAN which is set to release at the end of 2009 and is most likely going to be Ash’s next Hindi release after SARKAR RAJ. The film also stars Abhishek Bachchan, Vikram, Govinda and Manisha Koirala. The film is a modern day retelling of the Ramayana. Ash will play Sita, a contemporary accomplished Carnatic musician while Vikram is Rama and Abhishek is Raavan. Ash is also shooting for the Tamil version of the film, ASHOKAVANAM, which will release at the same time as RAAVAN. Both the films have been shot in the interiors of South India.

After RAAVAN and ASHOKAVANAM, Ash’s next release is Shankar’s sci-fi special-effects laden thriller ENDHIRAN with Rajnikanth. The film has been shot in the exotic locales of Brazil and Goa in India. Ash will be seen in colorful costumes in this film. The plot of the film revolves around Ash and Rajnikanth. The twist in the story is that Rajnikanth invents a robot called Endhiran who also falls in love with Ash. The film will release somewhere around in April 2010 and after that Vipul Shah’s ACTION REPLAY with Akshay Kumar is also on the pipeline. Though the release date of the film is not yet out.

International Khiladi Kumar opened his zipper on the ramp to display to the audiences his raw sex appeal (we guess) . His antics at the fashion were obviously meant to attract attention.

Post Chandni Chowk to China, Akshay is of course feeling left out of the Bollywood pie. His latest movie, 8X10 releases this week and the hype around it seems to exist just around the producers.

The Award Goes to Priyanka Chopra

Priyanka Chopra is on cloud nine. And why not? Just a few days ago, the actor received the Nielsen Box Office Award at the Asian Film Awards in Hong Kong for her “outstanding contribution to Asian film industry”.

Considered a strong bastion from film-makers from China and Hong Kong, Piggy Chops knows that it’s a feat. “I have been in the industry just for five years. And if you win an award for your contribution to Asian cinema in this time span, it is quite flattering. It is nice to get an award which is not dedicated to a particular country. Film-makers from Japan, Korea, China and other countries get felicitated there,” Priyanka told DNA.

The former Miss World says she was excited to meet Chinese action queen Michelle Yeoh and Platoon and Born on the Fourth of July director Oliver Stone at the awards night.

“Michelle was a jury member and she told me you are representing your country. I felt heavy with responsibility at that time. Michelle is a lovely person and her aura is mind-blowing,” Priyanka adds.

Off late, awards, accolades and box office hits have become a habit for Priyanka. And now with people in the industry debating whether she, Kareena Kapoor or Katrina is number one, we asked her what she felt about the entire thing.

“I don’t think I’m number one. It’s too frivolous as it depends on your box office luck. If you get a hit, you are number one, if you don’t, you are number 10,” she says.

Priyanka has also been in a lot of news for her alleged affair with Shahid Kapur. She says, “I will only come out and reveal whom I love to the world when I’m dead sure that I want to spend the rest of my life with that man.”

Katrina Kaif Spends Time With Her kiddie Fans

Katrina Kaif recently spent some time with her kiddie fans from the slums of Dharavi.

A source says, “Most of the kids were ragpickers and they enjoyed meeting her. The kids also showed her the paintings they had made and Katrina couldn’t stop raving about their talent. She spoke to the kids at length and encouraged them to follow their dreams.” That’s a good gesture, Kat!
